Valve Continues their Awesome Marketing with a BSOD

Posted on 12 March 2010 by Foster

If you’re unfamiliar with the term, a BSOD refers to the “blue screen of death” that you PC users often see when trying to get your non-Macintosh computers to do…..anything.  After accepting a Pioneer Award at this year’s Game Developer’s Conference, Gabe Newell (dude in charge at Valve), tried to give a slideshow presentation but unfortunately suffered a blue screen of death mid-slide.

Apparently the slide that was lost was supposed to reveal a bunch of answers to Valve legends, but I guess now we’ll never know.  Then again, some people that are better with code than I am say the error code given in the message decodes to “”S U S : P E N D … U N T ( I ) L … E E E,” so I bet we’ll be getting some answers come E3.

Don’t quote me on that, though.
