March was an interesting month for games. We saw Sony’s new “Wii Too” motion control device, a major shakeup over at Activision regarding some dudes that worked on Modern Warfare, and we even got to watch as “paid downloadable content” simply became “content.”
Oh, and we launched the site, of course.
Relive some stuff you remember and some you may have missed after the jump.

Shut Up and Get Over It: BioShock 2 DLC
As players of 2K Games’s sequel to the critically acclaimed BioShock found out that the paid DLC content “Sinclair Solutions Tester Pack” was actually included on the disc, debate raged through the gaming community about whether such an action was “right.” In this column, we helped to explain why publishers should be expected to act in their best interests, and why some gamers need to suck it up and stop being a bunch of self-righteous babies.

Infinity Ward Drama Continues: Fired Devs Dropping the Legal Hammer
When rumors of a coup at Infinity Ward began swirling around the internet, no one really knew what a clusterfuck the whole thing would turn out to be. After being forcibly removed from the company by higher-ups at Activision, Vince Zampella and Jason West, the CEO and President of IW at the time, hit the ground running with some serious legal talk.

Game with Girls, For a Price
When this story was forwarded to me by a very dear friend, I tried very hard to hope that it wasn’t real. After being forced to accept the fact that the site does indeed exist, I then moved on to hoping that it would be a catastrophic failure (but only after forwarding it to some out-of-work ex-girlfriends). I have since progressed to the acceptance stage, where I recognize that no matter how much I hate something, I cannot prevent other people from liking it (case in point: Glee).
Justice is Served: Final Fantasy XIII Freezing on PS3
Speaking as one of the many owners of FFXIII for the Xbox 360, I felt no shortage of frustration with the seemingly endless shot-for-shot comparisons of the game on PS3 and 360. Rabid fanboys, screaming over what to me were imperceptible differences between the two versions, were quick to denounce the 360 and hail the game as the final evidence necessary to declare the PS3 victorious in the console war (you know, the one that Nintendo won four years ago). So imagine my surprise and joy in learning that while the PS3 version may have looked marginally better, the 360 one did a better job of working.
And that’s March. Thanks for joining us in our first month, and if you like what you’ve been seeing do bring your friends. We look forward to the future and hope to see you there. Hugs and kisses!
