Halo: Reach Matchmaking Update!

With the beta for Reach’s multiplayer coming in just over a month, it’s time for the details to start seeping out.  Shacknews scored an interview with some folks at Bungie and was able to get a few updates on what to expect from the game’s matchmaking system.

Bungie Files Fresh Trademark for Marathon

It’s trademark time!  Bungie, creators of one of the biggest game franchises in recent memory (Halo, duh), has apparently filed a fresh trademark for Marathon, that other game that they made before they turned most of their attention to the adventures of Master Chief.

Marathon was a first person shooter that came out in 1994 for the Apple Macintosh and had a couple of sequels, one of which, Marathon 2: Durandal, was released on Live Arcade in 2007.  As we know from the past, Bungie likes to play with their fans as much as possible before outright giving information away, but the chances are good that with Halo: Reach close to completion they have their sights set on returning to the franchise that gave them their start.
